Cambodia's skies are buzzing with activity once again! With over 2 million passengers already passing through international airports in the first five months of 2024, the aviation industry is experiencing a significant rebound. This impressive figure marks a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
"These numbers are a testament to Cambodia's aviation industry successfully recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic," emphasized Mao Havannal, the Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, during a recent visit to the under-construction Techo International Airport.
By 2024, Cambodia boasts connections to the world with 31 domestic and foreign airlines operating flights. Passengers can choose from destinations across 8 ASEAN countries, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Currently, Cambodia has three operational international airports: Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH), Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI), and Sihanouk International Airport (KOS).
